The GMW-B5000 series retains the iconic square design of the first G-SHOCK model, the DW-5000C, released in 1983, while being fully metal. This model features a unique design with laser engraving throughout. The entire case and band are treated with a black ion-plating process, followed by a special laser engraving to create the Grid Tunnel design. The 5000 series, which has continued to evolve without changing shape since its launch in 1983, is expressed throughout the watch design, superimposed on the Grid Tunnel's image of "the flow of time from the past to the future." |
